Orait!! da lame sangat rasanya xberblog..huhu..Tibe2 arini rasa nak menulis pulak..bukan ape, bile dah banyak sangat ngk documentari pasal Greek, tibe2 rasa connection dengan medical..Connection ape?Haa, itu yang kite nak tau..

Kepada yang penah dengar word "hippocampus", mesti tau, lagi2 student medical.. Mase aku mula2 dengar word ni, ape dalam kepala aku adalah badak air..sebab nama hippo tu buat aku automatic teringat pasal hippopotamus.

Untuk start cerita pasal hippocampus ni, aku kene bawak korang jauh. Cerita ni start dengan kisah Poseidon. Poseidon adalah anak kepada Cronus dan adik kepada Zeus (tuhan Greek purba). Semasa membahagi kawasan pemerintahan, Poseidon ni, dapat la kawasan laut.So, duduk dalam air jela die.

Poseidon adalah tuhan kepada kuda dan laut. Jadi, emblem rasmi kepada Poseidon ni adalah seekor kuda yang mempunyai ekor ikan. Tak lupa juga triton. Tapi tu tak penting.

Dalam bahasa Greek purba, hippocampus bermaksud (hippos=kuda dan kampos=raksasa laut@sea monster). Pada masa tu, orang Greek purba tak tau lagi kewujudan kuda laut atau dalam bahasa Inggeris, seahorse.

Julius Caesar Aranzi (1587), seorang Venetian anatomist telah mengkaji struktur otak, dan beliau mendapati bahawa struktur yang kita kenal hari ni sebagai hippocampus adalah sebijik macam kuda laut! Amazing kan?

Tu jela secara ringkasnya macam mana hippocampus dalam otak manusia ni mendapat namanya. Banyak lagi macam mana bahagian2 lain anggota manusia mendapat namanya. Contohnya macam tendon Achilles. Tapi tu cerita lain...

Imitation websites emerge in China

Imitation websites of both Google and YouTube have emerged in China as the country faces off against the real Google over its local operations.

YouTubecn.com offers videos from the real YouTube, which is blocked in China.

The Google imitation is called Goojje and includes a plea for the US-based web giant not to leave China, after it threatened this month to do so in a dispute over web censorship and cyber attacks.

The separate projects went up within a day of each other in mid-January, just after Google's threat to leave.

"This should be an issue with Google's intellectual property, also with China censorship," said Xiao Qiang, director of the Berkeley China Internet Project at the University of California-Berkeley. "I cannot see how these sites can survive very long without facing these two issues."

Both sites were still working. It wasn't clear what Chinese authorities would do with them, if anything.

China's National Copyright Administration has been cracking down on illegally run websites and this month issued a code of ethics, but no statement was posted on its website about the Google and YouTube imitations.

Google had little comment. "The only comment I can give you right now is just to confirm that we're not affiliated," spokeswoman Jessica Powell said in an email.

China is famous for its fake products, but this is the first time such prominent sites have been copied in this way, Xiao said.

The creators of the two sites could not be reached.

Sebut pasal sebat, teringat pengalaman dekat sekolah dulu. Dah lost count berapa kali b****t ni kene cium dengan rotan. Fuh, bile sebut je, terasa balik birat-birat2 dekat b****t ni timbul balik. Sakit beb! Ade sekali tu, sebab tak buat buku nota geog, kene sebat dgn penolong kanan. Sekali sebat 3 line naik. Cam adidas. Hahaha. Paling bes sekali je sebat. Tapi 3 kali. Panas je b****t kalo nak duduk atas kerusi. Huhu..

Tapi tu semua sedikit sebanyak pengalaman pasal sebat masa zaman sekolah. Kalau hukuman sebat dalam penjara sure lagi dahsyat. Masa aku darjah 6 dulu, cikgu sekolah aku jemput pegawai penjara untuk bagi ceramah pasal hukuman rotan ni. Aku pon tak tau la ape kes sampai nak kene bagi ceramah. Psiko je kot sebab kitorang ni nakal sangat. Tapi, memang gerun la nengok gambar-gambar dgn equipments untuk menyebat ni. Pegawai penjara tu siap demo lagi teknik sebatan. POMMMMMM!! (sile bayangkan efek dan teknik sebatan mengikut imaginasi sendiri ye). Rase nak terkencing pon ade nengok mannequin tu disebat.

Okay, tu kalau sebatan cara sivil, tapi ramai ke yang tahu cara sebatan islam? Mind set manusia sekarang, kalau cakap pasal sebat, mesti terbayang cara sivil. So, bila cakap hukum sebat dalam islam, secara automatik islam akan dianggap sebagai kejam. Itulah perspektif yang selalu diterima apabila bercakap mengenai hukum islam. Tapi sebelum anda semua membuat konklusi, baca ini dulu. Mungkin perspektif anda akan berubah.

His name is James Thomas Brudenell, 7th Earl of Cardigan. What? Something sound familiar there? Yes. Maybe what you are thinking right now is true.

The cardigan sweater was definitely named after him. For those who didn't know, a cardigan is a type of sweater (or jumper) that ties, buttons or zips down the front; by contrast, a pullover does not open in front, but forms a solid tube around the torso. It is available for both genders.

You might ask how is that his name got stuck with that kind of specific apparel. There is a few idea how this happen. The first idea is after he entered the army (1824), he purchased promotions to become a lieutenant colonel (1832) and gained a reputation as a martinet. He spent his inherited wealth to make his regiment the best-dressed in the service (introducing the later-named cardigan jacket). Secondly, maybe the “cardigan”, a knitted waistcoat supposedly as worn by the earl on campaign, became fashionable and many were sold.

I just post this because i found it interesting to know about the men or women behind some famous shoes. Some people just wore them without even knowing who the person the shoe contributed to or maybe the shoe contributed to the person.

Ok. Enough already. And now for some quick facts. Have you ever heard about an Adidas shoe name with Stan Smith? For the guys, I bet you have heard about this before. At least once. This shoe was quite famous during my old school years at the boarding school.

Stan Smith or he's real name Stanley Roger Smith (born December 14, 1946 in Pasadena, California) is a former American tennis player. He has partnerd with Bob Lutz. Guess Bob doesnt get a shoe named after him huh..

Roti canai(pronounced chanai,not kanai).How to make one???huhu..

Ingridients :

10 oz plain flour
Salt to taste
½ cup ghee (clarified butter)
½ cup water

To prepare :

Sieve flour and salt into a mixing bowl

Mix in the ghee, add water gradually, knead until the dough is a smooth, medium consistency

Let dough rest for 2 to 3 hrs to soften

Take a portion of dough, shape into a ball, oil the work top with ghee and work each ball into a very thin sheet - first flatten with your oiled palms, then thin it further by pulling the edges [professionals do it by flipping the dough in the air in a circular motion like a pizza maker does]

Sprinkle the dough sheet with 1 tsp of ghee and fold in edges forming it into a square then sprinkle a little flour and roll out slightly

Alternatively, you can thin out the sheet, oil and roll it up - coil it up like a sea shell, flatten, oil again and repeat the flattening 1 or 2 more times

Preheat griddle or pan, grease well with ghee; when hot, put one roti dough on, cook for 2-3 mins till golden brown. Lift Roti with a spatula, grease the griddle with a tsp of ghee, cook the other side

Serve hot with Malaysian Chicken Curry or your favorite curry! (too lazy to cook curry,sugar will do..)

PS : too complicated to b cook..dunno when can do it..btw,dis was posted due to "ade org ngidam" and still couldnt make her one..herm,one day after berguru,definitely gonna cook dis one...
